Payment Methods
Registration fees can be settled through bank slip (accepted in Brazilian banks only), credit card, Banco do Brasil account debit, purchase order, or invoicing via the registration system. While registrations remain open until the event’s final day, payments via debit and bank slip must be completed by 09/12/2024. After this date, credit card payments, purchase orders, and invoicing will no longer be accepted.
Registrations through purchase orders and invoicing: Participants should access the registration system and complete the registration process, selecting the payment method “purchase order” or “invoice,” then proceed to payment. The system will provide the required information to be included in the purchase order or invoice request.
Authors
For each paper accepted for publication in the following events of SBSeg2024: Main Track, Mini-courses, Tools Showcase, WTICG, WTE, WFC, and WGID, it’s necessary for one of the authors to register for the event as either a PROFESSIONAL or a STUDENT to ensure publication in the SBSeg 2024 proceedings. If registering as a STUDENT, an additional Publication Fee must be paid. In both cases, each registration allows the publication of up to 2 (two) papers. Authors with more than 2 accepted papers will need to pay an additional publication fee. The publication fee is R$ 120.00 (one hundred and twenty Brazilian reais) per paper.
For each paper accepted for publication in WTICG, one of the authors must register as a STUDENT. In the case of WTICG, each student registration waives the publication of 1 (one) paper. Additionally, it’s important to note that registration will be free for the first author of each accepted paper in WTICG.
ATTENTION:
At least one of the authors must have their registration and publication fee confirmed and paid at the conference by the following dates:
- For Mini-courses: by 08/01/2024;
- For Main Track: by 08/01/2024;
- For Tools Showcase, WGID, WFC, WTICG, and CTDSeg: by 08/22/2024.
If the author already has registration for SBSeg 2024, they can simply add the publication fee for each accepted paper to their existing registration.
In addition to registering and paying the fee, it is mandatory to present the paper. Failure to do so may result in exclusion from the SBSeg 2024 proceedings and the SBC Content Portal. Authors must also sign and submit the Copyright Form of the Brazilian Computing Society (SBC) and complete the Form containing the article’s data and metadata. Moreover, papers must adhere to the specific instructions for each SBSeg activity outlined in their respective calls.
Cancellation Policy
Until September 11, 2024, a 50% refund of the SBSeg 2024 registration fee is available upon request. No refunds will be issued after this date. This policy applies to both registration and any additional activities. To request a cancellation, please send an email to faturamento@sbc.org.br.
