We invite the community to submit papers for CTDSeg 2024

The Theses and Dissertations Competition in Information and Computational Systems Security (CTDSeg), an event that is part of the Brazilian Symposium on Information and Computational Systems Security (SBSeg), aims to select and reward the best doctoral theses and the best master’s dissertations defended in Brazil in the area of Cybersecurity.

CTDSeg will be held together with SBSeg 2024, in the week of September 16th to 19th, 2024, and will award up to three of the best theses and up to three of the best dissertations related to the areas of Information and Computational Systems Security at SBSeg.

Important Dates

  • Paper Registration: Monday, June 24, 2024
  • Paper Submission:   Monday, June 24, 2024
  • Notification: Saturday, August 10, 2024
  • Camera-Ready: Monday, August 19,2024
Submission Instructions

Researchers must submit an article, in Portuguese or English, describing and summarizing the results obtained in their theses and dissertations completed between July 2022 and June 2024.

The author must make clear the contribution and originality of the work to the area. The text must necessarily include the title of the thesis or dissertation, name of the author and supervisor (and co-supervisor, if any) with their respective affiliations, summary and abstract, motivations, objectives, results obtained, associated scientific production and the web address in which the thesis or dissertation is available.

The article must be formatted following the SBC article model available at the link (https://www.sbc.org.br/documentos-da-sbc/category/169-templates-para-artigos-e-capitulos-de-books) and respect the limit of 8 pages.

Each work submitted must contain three files (in PDF format): article (in Portuguese or English), digital statement of conclusion and thesis or dissertation.

The declaration must explicitly state that the candidate defended and had the work approved. The declaration must also contain the location, date of the defense, the name of the advisor and the board.

Submissions must be made in the JEMS system (https://jems.sbc.org.br/sbseg2024-ctdseg).

Look at the new SBC CODE OF CONDUCT (https://sol.sbc.org.br/index.php/indice/conduta), especially with regard to the use of Generative AI.
